C&T Enterprises, Inc. will receive letters of interest for the System Engineer (Electric Distribution) Level I & Level II position at Tri-County Rural Electric Cooperative.
Location: The position will be located at the Tri-County REC headquarters in Mansfield, PA.
Qualifications and Skills:
To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electrical technology, or mechanical engineering, along with relevant industry knowledge.
- Recent engineering graduates with a related 4-year degree and a strong desire to learn the electric distribution cooperative business are encouraged to apply.
- Applies problem-solving skills to identify and utilize basic troubleshooting techniques to promptly resolve issues, demonstrating the ability to balance multiple duties and priorities.
- Utilizes excellent communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues, contractors, utility inspectors, vendors, and consultants.

Responsibilities:
As the System Engineer (Electric Distribution) Level I & Level II, the candidate's responsibilities will involve both office and field work involvement and include:
- Collaborate with internal departments and external engineering firms to create short-term and long-range plans for enhancing the electric distribution facility improvement plan.
- Perform system coordination studies and provide protective device settings for fault-isolating equipment within the distribution system.
- Research and devise strategies to leverage the fiber infrastructure to create a more robust electric distribution system, including distribution automation.
- Assist in the planning, designing, and mapping of new fiber infrastructure in conjunction with the electric system.
- Develop predictive maintenance programs utilizing advanced technologies such as drones, various software, and SCADA systems.
- Develop preventive maintenance routines and schedules for electrical equipment distribution, following industry best practices, NETA recommendations, and manufacturers’ O&M manuals.
- Assume the role of project manager for large-scale Distribution and Transmission projects.
- Review, modify, and interconnect all Alternative Energy Systems interconnected to Tri-County REC’s distribution system.
- Provide support for the Cooperative's two-way metering AMI system(s), including load management. Implement initiatives to maximize their capabilities and develop report analysis.
- Perform other related work as assigned.

Location: The position will be located at the Claverack REC headquarters in Wysox, PA.
Reporting Structure: This position will report to the Engineering Assistant at Claverack REC.
Qualifications and Skills:
To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- An associate degree in electrical engineering technology or equivalent
- Three years of related experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the functions of the position
- A combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the functions of the position may be considered
- Must be familiar with Rural Utilities Service (RUS) construction specifications, National Electric Code, National Electrical Safety Code, Cooperative Engineering and Operations policies and practices, and safety rules
- Understands the fundamentals of electricity and has a strong math background
- Computer skills, including basic operation and knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing documents, and cooperative-specific software applications
- Applies problem-solving skills to identify and utilize basic troubleshooting techniques to promptly resolve issues, demonstrating the ability to balance multiple duties and priorities

Responsibilities:
As the Field Service Technician, the candidate's responsibilities will include:
- Designing overhead and underground electric lines and facilities, including new line construction, extensions, relocations, and upgrades
- Obtaining all easements, rights of way, and permits from members, the general public, and governmental/regulatory agencies as required
- Designing projects from initialization, including computer input of design using Cooperatives staking software system, through completion of construction and as – built documentation
- Routinely updating project status/milestones in the cooperative’s software systems
- Performing layout and staking of designs throughout the Cooperative service territory
- Operating engineering instruments and equipment
- Assisting the electronic technician and/or field workforce in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cooperative systems and equipment on an as-needed basis
- Keeping all assigned tools, equipment, and vehicles in good, clean, and safe working condition
- Perform other related work as assigned
Special Working Conditions:
- Overtime may be necessary to complete a job or when requested to respond to emergencies, including during storms and outages
- Must be able to work in inclement conditions or areas of rough terrain
- Most work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions and terrain

Reporting Structure: This position will report to the Director of Network Engineering and Central Office and will work closely with TCC, Tri-County REC staff, and other C&T operating companies.
Qualifications and Skills:
To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Associate degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (or equivalent)
- Three years of industry experience
- Cisco Network Certification is preferred
- Strong network troubleshooting skills
- The ability to use critical thinking skills to identify and utilize basic troubleshooting techniques to resolve issues promptly
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple duties and priorities

Responsibilities:
As the Network Operations Technician, the candidate's responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and troubleshooting core, access, and transport network infrastructure
- Working with central office equipment
- Serving as an escalation resource for customer issues
- Handling customer-facing calls for advanced troubleshooting when needed
- Supporting provisioning and troubleshooting of VoIP services
- Assisting with outage response, maintenance windows, and service turn-ups
- Coordinating with field technicians and vendors on escalated issues
- Performing occasional field visits for service validation or complex trouble cases
- Participating in a rotating on-call schedule, including after-hours response
- Occasional travel to customer business locations for installations, turn-ups, and troubleshooting
- Communicating and coordinating with all employees to receive or give technical and service status information that results in the company's safe, efficient, and reliable operation
- Communicating clearly with customers regarding technical issues and service status
- Logging all customer interactions, resolutions, and follow-up steps in the company’s ticketing system
- Supporting provisioning of new services, including assigning IP addresses, configuring CPE, and updating customer records
- Contributing to improving support processes and knowledge base articles for common issues
- Independently collaborating with third-party vendors, including, but not limited to, colleagues, customers, contractors, inspectors, internet service providers, hardware/software vendors, network consultants, and regulatory agencies

Special Working Conditions:
- Duties will be performed in the office and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Work will be in confined spaces or remote district offices as needed.
- Work will include participation with internal and external committees.
- Must be available after hours for emergency situations, and participation in an on-call rotation.
- Must maintain the ability to climb ladders, and lift equipment (up to 50 lbs.).
- Occasional overnight travel is required.
