C&T Enterprises, Inc. will receive letters of interest for the System Engineer (Electric Distribution) Level I & Level II position at Tri-County Rural Electric Cooperative.
Location: The position will be located at the Tri-County REC headquarters in Mansfield, PA.
Qualifications and Skills:
To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electrical technology, or mechanical engineering, along with relevant industry knowledge.
- Recent engineering graduates with a related 4-year degree and a strong desire to learn the electric distribution cooperative business are encouraged to apply.
- Applies problem-solving skills to identify and utilize basic troubleshooting techniques to promptly resolve issues, demonstrating the ability to balance multiple duties and priorities.
- Utilizes excellent communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues, contractors, utility inspectors, vendors, and consultants.

Responsibilities:
As the System Engineer (Electric Distribution) Level I & Level II, the candidate's responsibilities will involve both office and field work involvement and include:
- Collaborate with internal departments and external engineering firms to create short-term and long-range plans for enhancing the electric distribution facility improvement plan.
- Perform system coordination studies and provide protective device settings for fault-isolating equipment within the distribution system.
- Research and devise strategies to leverage the fiber infrastructure to create a more robust electric distribution system, including distribution automation.
- Assist in the planning, designing, and mapping of new fiber infrastructure in conjunction with the electric system.
- Develop predictive maintenance programs utilizing advanced technologies such as drones, various software, and SCADA systems.
- Develop preventive maintenance routines and schedules for electrical equipment distribution, following industry best practices, NETA recommendations, and manufacturers’ O&M manuals.
- Assume the role of project manager for large-scale Distribution and Transmission projects.
- Review, modify, and interconnect all Alternative Energy Systems interconnected to Tri-County REC’s distribution system.
- Provide support for the Cooperative's two-way metering AMI system(s), including load management. Implement initiatives to maximize their capabilities and develop report analysis.
- Perform other related work as assigned.

C&T Enterprises, Inc., will receive letters of interest for a Customer Service Representative position at Tri-County Rural Electric Cooperative (REC).
Location: This position will be based at the Tri-County REC headquarters in Mansfield, PA.
Reporting Structure: This position will report to the Manager of Customer Service at Tri-County REC.
Primary Function: The primary function of this position is to provide prompt and courteous service to members and the public by answering questions, transferring calls, and welcoming visitors arriving at the cooperative. The representative will also be responsible for ensuring the cooperative's requirements are met for service, maintaining member records related to memberships and deposits, assisting with sales calls and customer retention, and providing general assistance to the Manager of Customer Service and other staff as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred)
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience
- Experience in the sale of broadband, internet, and telecommunications industry (preferred)
- Demonstrates courteous and professional communication in written correspondence, in‑person interactions, and telephone conversations
- Knowledge of basic office computer systems and equipment, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrates the ability to learn and effectively utilize all applicable Information Technology systems, including the cooperative’s customer service, billing, and business software

Responsibilities:
As the Customer Service Representative, the candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Responsible for opening and closing the office
- Providing receptionist duties in a professional, courteous manner
- Answering incoming calls and responding promptly and accurately to caller inquiries
- Transferring calls as applicable
- Entering call data into the outage management system
- Maintaining membership, service connection, and security deposit files
- Balancing files with the accountant and the computer
- Preparing letters and reports for the Board of Directors, billing department, and other groups
- Prepare, copy, and assemble letters, reports, and other documents
- Preparing and checking meter installations and removals
- Connecting with consumers to educate them on cooperative/subsidiary products, services, and promotions to generate sales
- Processing service orders, bill adjustments, and various billing/payment options
- Scheduling internet and/or voice installs for customers
- Dispatching trouble tickets when needed
- Assisting with registration of members at the annual meeting
- Responding or initiating radio calls as needed
- Participating in educational training, technical training, and safety meetings
- Understanding and complying with cooperative policies, procedures, and programs
- Communicate and coordinate with internal stakeholders, including the Manager of Customer Service, the Director of Finance, Tri-Co Connections personnel, engineering staff, and other cooperative and subsidiary employees relevant to assigned responsibilities

Special Working Conditions:
The candidate must be available to work at all hours during emergency conditions such as during prolonged outages. Occasional overnight travel may also be required. Must comply with all cooperative policies and safety rules.

- An associate degree in electrical engineering technology or equivalent
- Three years of related experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the functions of the position
- A combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the functions of the position may be considered
- Must be familiar with Rural Utilities Service (RUS) construction specifications, National Electric Code, National Electrical Safety Code, Cooperative Engineering and Operations policies and practices, and safety rules
- Understands the fundamentals of electricity and has a strong math background
- Computer skills, including basic operation and knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing documents, and cooperative-specific software applications
- Applies problem-solving skills to identify and utilize basic troubleshooting techniques to promptly resolve issues, demonstrating the ability to balance multiple duties and priorities
- Utilizes excellent communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues, contractors, utility inspectors, vendors, and consultants in both verbal and written form

Responsibilities:
As the Field Service Technician, the candidate's responsibilities will include:
- Designing overhead and underground electric lines and facilities, including new line construction, extensions, relocations, and upgrades
- Obtaining all easements, rights of way, and permits from members, the general public, and governmental/regulatory agencies as required
- Designing projects from initialization, including computer input of design using Cooperatives staking software system, through completion of construction and as – built documentation
- Routinely updating project status/milestones in the cooperative’s software systems
- Performing layout and staking of designs throughout the Cooperative service territory
- Operating engineering instruments and equipment
- Assisting the electronic technician and/or field workforce in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cooperative systems and equipment on an as-needed basis
- Keeping all assigned tools, equipment, and vehicles in good, clean, and safe working condition
- Perform other related work as assigned
Special Working Conditions:
- Overtime may be necessary to complete a job or when requested to respond to emergencies, including during storms and outages
- Must be able to work in inclement conditions or areas of rough terrain
- Most work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions and terrain
- The incumbent must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
